Demos
There are several game modes. The first is a non-interactive tutorial mode. It allows babies to learn signs by viewing video clips that demonstrate the sign and shows images of what the sign represents. A second mode is interactive and requires use of a game quilt. Babies will be presented with a sign on the screen, then encouraged to select the appropriate picture on the game quilt (to test that they understand what the sign means). The third (Quiz) mode allows adults to test the baby's ability to make a sign. This mode will show an object, then encourage baby to sign it. When the baby correctly signs, the adult will hit a key on the keyboard and some form of positive reinforcement will display. If the baby signs incorrectly or not at all, some coaching will occur then they will have a repeat opportunity to sign.
These demos contain screenshots only. The Little Signer game, if developed, would contain full animation, background music, voice-over narration, and sound effects.
